After several years of hiatus, Holiday House, Case Barlow Farm and Hudson Heritage Association joined forces to host the 2016 Holiday House November 19th, 25th & 26th at Case Barlow Farm. A new twist to the event included not only a house tour, but Holiday shopping and displays with most items “pay and carry”.Each room was decorated by a local interior and floral designer for your enjoyment and offer shopping opportunities. Vendors included in this event will be Borrow Rentals, Hudson Fine Art & Framing, Laura Yeager Smith Home & Design, Molly Taylor & Company, The Red Twig Floral Design & Studio, Suncrest Gardens, Yellow Basket Antiques and Yellow Creek Trading Company. “Christmas of Long Ago” was presented in the second floor rooms by the three Hudson Quester chapters. The Hudson Garden Club decoratedthe lovely back porch of the farmhouse.
The Preview Party, “Moonlight & Mistletoe”, on Saturday, November 19th from 5-7 p.m., featured wine and beer plus special hors d’oeuvres catered by Hudson native, Chef Larkin Rogers. A signature cocktail was provided by Angela Strach-Gotthardt of The Secret Tea Society. Tickets for the Preview Party were $75.00 per person. The Preview Party tickets will remain valid for both days of the general tour.
The general tour took place on November 25th & 26th, Friday and Saturday, from 10 am to 4 pm both days. Proceeds from the event will go to Case-Barlow Farm and Hudson Heritage Association for their continued restoration and preservation efforts.
