About the Event
Save The Date – Case-Barlow Farm’s Annual Fall Harvest Fest
Mark your calendar and count the days until Sunday September 17th. Case-Barlow Farm’s Annual Fall Harvest Fest is returning with exciting new items and favorites from the past. Rain or shine from 12 noon to 5 pm you will find happiness around every corner. The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad will transform the barn into a model railroad station with working trains and hands on activities. Joe Leonard, a creative wood carver, will be demonstrating techniques for creating animals from wood. Of course, real animals from alpacas to goats, chickens to bunny rabbits, will be hoping to be held and petted. It would not be a fall fest without our hay wagon rides. A Civil War encampment, including Hudson students, will take you back in time. The day will also include a blacksmith, Windsor chair maker, stone mason, arborists and so much more. The sounds of the Eddy Street Geezers band will entertain throughout the day and making a guest appearance will be the Buckeye Square Dancers. Games and crafts including candle dipping will not want to be missed. Inside the 1800’s historic home, artisans will be demonstrating how to make a quilt, a penny rug, lace making, loom weaving and 1800’s domestic chores. Of course, CBF’s hot dogs, popcorn, ice cones, root beer and root beer floats will be available when hunger strikes. Put away your electronic games, and plan for the whole day of great outdoor family fun at 1931 Barlow Road, Hudson, Oh!
